  The Archdiocese of New Orleans reported that Hurricane Ida caused severe damage to churches ,glass pool fence panels, and school buildings in multiple dioceses.
       Ida made landfall near the Port of Fulchon on August 29 in a dangerous Category 4 storm that slowly passed through southeastern Louisiana.
       The archdiocese newspaper, The Clarion Herald, published a list of diocese-by-diocese losses. Famous buildings, such as St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans, suffered extensive damage.
